Please make an extra effort to get the students to school on time during testing! Students arriving at school after testing has started will not be allowed into their classes. They will have to make up the test at another time.  Students should prepare by getting a good night’s sleep and eating a healthy breakfast.

English Language Arts Testing will take place Tuesday-Thursday, 4/17-04/20. Math testing will take place Tuesday-Thursday, 04/24-04/26. Fifth grade students will test Mon-Fri. 04/23- 04/27 as they complete Math and Science. Students taking the Modified version will also test on Fridays because each subject area contains one more testing section. Parents of students taking the modified version have already signed permission during their scheduled IEP with Ms. Soriano.

All students should take the test seriously and try their best.  Fifth grade scores will determine class placement for sixth grade. If students do not score proficient on the math section, they will have two math courses in place of an elective. 

As the year winds down we are trying to close the books and we have noticed that many students have outstanding lunch balances. Students owing more than $10 have been calling their parents before they are served. Please understand that having a high negative balance, your child runs the risk of not being served an entrée.

Our Accelerated Reader program keeps track of the word count for the students as they complete quizzes for the AR books. Our total for the school so far is 141,747,207! At this time we are only one million words away from our count last year on the last day of school.   

We continue to accept registration packets for kindergarten 2012-2013. Students are eligible for kindergarten if they were born on or before 11/02/07. If you know of any relatives or neighbors who are eligible please encourage them to contact our office.

The district along with the bargaining unit has established time for teachers to plan and collaborate with each other during their work day. There will be 16 Wednesdays that the students will be dismissed at 1:30. They are scheduled for:
